Victory at last

Well finally after waiting ages for the lecturers to pull their fingers out of their arses & do some work I got 2 more results, and I have passed now 3/4 of the essays from first semester. Hopefully I'll not have too long to wait before I get my final mark back - though it was the hardest one which I am waiting for so hopefully I will get a pass and I will be happy so I can put first semester behind me and concentrate on this semester rather than worry about my marks all the time!

I have just emailed some rubbishy work to one of the lecturers, I saw no point in doing it when we already have essays to be getting on with , plus a disertation which will start some time very soon! So there's no point in wasting our time doing this nonsense - I don't give a crap about getting feedback, I really don't care for this course I just want to pass everything and get it over with - cus it's making me waste and entire year doing it, not to mention £4000 of my money!!!

Anyway , have my fingers crossed for the other marks, and for this semesters work to go ok.

Today I feel like crap. I stupidly thought I would try some cereal for breakfast in hope that it wouldn't effect my morning sickness, but no it did of course and I think it's affected me all day :-(

I'm sick of feeling crappy all day every day! It's ridiculous all the books/Dr's say it's meant to go between weeks 12-14, or 14-16...but I'm now at the start of week 16 and it doesn't seem to have changed other than it seems to get a little worse recently - I hope that's a good sign (e.g. most things get worse before they get better)!!

I've got loads of work still to do but the motivation isn't there cus I'm soooo tired... I'm really hoping I will actually see a change for this trimester very soon - I have my fingers crossed in the mean time.

But I won't go holding my breath

Just my luck

After passing the statistics module, the next day I get rejected by Edinburgh Uni for the PGDE Primary Education course - typical!! There's never just some nice or good news without some crappy news coming after it!

I am really hormonal the last 3/4 days which doesn't help. I got so excited that I managed to pass something but then it's just knocked back by other stuff that it is completely non-significant news now.

Well I've got work to do so I'm sure I'll update this blog later or sometime

Another typical day at QMU

Well, got up late and had to call my tutor to reschedule our appointment for 1pm... So went into uni and then had our meeting. The lecture was cancelled so didn't go... Went to the library to work for a while and felt really crappy so headed home to work there and it's far more comfy at home than those damn stools in the library - just wait until I'm 7months pregnant going in and trying to hop up onto one of those stools to write up my dissertation... Oh so many things I'm looking forward to - that isn't one of them!

Anyway, got back home after have a scabby person sitting in front of me & one behind, both coughing & chocking to death which sounded disgusting...but what annoys me is what the hell is wrong with scabby people & their inability to use their damn hands to cover their mouths when their coughing! It's not hard, and very simple & easy for them to do! I've seen very young children with more manners than that!!!

Well, when I got back home I found out that I passed one of my statistics pieces of coursework (yay!) and then got an email to asky why nobody was at the lecture, which was sent to the head of the course & then naming the 3 of us who weren't there. NOW, firstly the lecturer doesn't even know us that 1 of the named people is only part time so she doesn't do this module this year, secondly the other person was snowed in down south and trains were cancelled so she couldn't get up here, and thirdly the damn timetable says "No lecture" !!!! So even if we all came in there was no bloody class on. About an hour later there was an apologetic reply saying that she forgot there wasn't a class on & decided to give us some work to do by the next class.

I'm even more annoyed because I have a tutor who I see every thusday morning, and she goes over my work with me to make sure of no spelling or grammer errors (I'm dyslexca)...anyway so I was said I would get her a draft of an essay done between now and thursday (Ive got loads of work to do not to mention a dissertatin this semster)... But no, now this damn rubbish lecturer (who is unfrotunatly also my sprevisor for my disertatin) wants this work emailed to her before the lecture on thusday so that's ruined my plan of doing my essay!!!

I'm so anoyed with this course, the university & all the staff (I think theres only 1 good member of staff which I have come across!)... and I can't believe that this course is eligible for funding through SAAS but the university don't use it for the course, so I'm actually paying my full tuition fees for something I hate & something which I doubt will even get me a job!

I warn anybody reading this blog - don't bother going to Queen Margaret University!!!

All for now x

FINALLY!

Well, what do you know the postman just dropped off my 3 parcels (after a long conversation with my grandmother who shouted at them yesterday afternoon!)... I honestly believed they were just going to ignore us and send up sending them back - but all they needed was a granny to give them a kick up the arse! Must remember that...

Anyway, I'm hungry I've already eaten a sandwich and I don't want to eat anymore now because this baby makes me burb ridiculous amounts and I just can't stop - no matter what I'm eating! Lucozade is virtually the only drink I can tolerate, and mints help a fair bit with the burping but other than that I just have to live with it - great!! How pleasant a pregnant wifey belching in her husbands ear at night in bed, very romantic!

Well I just wanted another moan, this baby seems to be making me feel easily irritated and a bit grumpy lately and I don't know why - well yes, it'll be those damn hormones acting up again!

Bye for now x

Frustration...

Ok I do have a short temper with some things in that I can easily get irritated by trivial things at times. But this time is different! I'm sick & tired of the Royal Mail in Edinburgh! So I live in a 2nd floor flat which has buzzer entry and the Royal Mail postmen in this area do 1 of 2 things when they have small parcels:

1) They just don't buzz, and leave the parcels in the main entrance where they may get stolen (which has happened at Christmas time in the past), OR

2) They pre-write their pathetic "Sorry you were out" cards and don't bring the parcel with them, and just leave the card! These cards you know are pre-written because they always have the wrong date & times on them for when they're left!!

A/ If they leave a card, you can't arrange a re-delivery by phoning the local sorting office because the telephone number on the card is no longer in use. So you then have to use their online system to arrange the redelivery.

B/ The online system is ok providing you have a separate card for each item. However, I have often had to re-arrange delivery 2/3 times before they actually bring the item at all! This is frustrating because you take the whole day specifically waiting in for the postman to bring your redelivery item and then you find you've wasted the whole day as they couldn't be bothered to bring it with them when they did their rounds!

I checked the post at midday on the 15th January, and found that I had a card left for me (when I was in the entire day), it was dated the 14th January at 3pm! Now I then waited a couple of days in hope they would bring it the next time - but they didn't! So I went online to arrange a re-delivery for the 28th January when I would just stay in for the items (3 of them)....surprise surprise they didn't bother bringing it. I tried calling up the sorting office phone number that was printed on the card, to find it just continuously ringing. I called up the person who sent the 3 items to me and got her to complain at her end but they couldn't do aything, so she got the number for the sorting office up here only to find that the stupid number on the cards is no longer in use!! So she called up to complain and ask if they even had the items there, which they did and to make sure they would deliver them tomorrow!

The problem I have now is that they sorting office only keep items for 3 weeks (which is up tomorrow), before they send them back to the original sender! Now that's another issue bcause it can be expensive to send parcels so if they send the items back, they have to send them back to me again whcih is expensvie!!

I'm sure I'm not the only person - but today I have the right to have a good moan and complain about the stupid pathetic services provided/not provided by the rubbish Royal Mail!
